Launch above Neuschwanstein Castle: a cable car, 900 metres of height difference and one of the most famous views in the Alps.

Few launches come with a view like this: from the top station of the Tegelbergbahn you look straight down onto Neuschwanstein Castle, with the Forggensee and the Alpine foothills spread out ahead.

The cable car takes you to the main launch at about 1,700 metres, facing north-east and north-west. Two lower launches, Grüble and Rohrkopfsattel, cover north and west winds. All flights end in the big landing field by the valley station.

Tegelberg is busy on good days, with tandem pilots and schools sharing the launch. The site's flight rules apply to everyone: prepare your wing outside the launch area and keep clear of the cable car.
