Note on weather and flight information

Forecasts, launch site ratings and weather reports on Windbutler are largely computed automatically from weather models, weather stations and flight data. They may be inaccurate, outdated or wrong.

Windbutler replaces neither your own flight preparation nor official aviation weather reports, airspace and NOTAM information, or judging the conditions on site. Whether and where you fly is your decision alone as the pilot.

Liability for content

We are responsible for our own content under general law (Section 7(1) DDG). For third-party information we transmit or store, such as user reviews and feedback, we are not obliged to monitor it or to look for circumstances that indicate illegal activity (Sections 8 to 10 DDG). As soon as we learn of an infringement, we remove the content concerned without delay.

Liability for links

Windbutler links to third-party websites, such as webcams, clubs and weather services, and embeds DHV weather reports. We have no influence over their content; their providers are responsible for it. No infringements were apparent when we linked them. If we learn of any, we remove the link without delay.

The content and works on Windbutler are subject to German copyright law. Third-party maps, weather data and photos are credited as such and are licensed by their authors. If you notice a copyright infringement, please write to us and we will remove the content without delay.

Consumer dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
