Der Graskegel der Hohen Salve bietet hervorragende Flugbedingungen. Bereits früh im Jahr findet man hier thermische Aufwinde. Mit der Bergbahn von Söll oder Hopfgarten geht es auf die Hohe Salve. Alle Startplätze befinden sich im Bereich des Gipfels. Bitte verwendet ausschließlich den neuen, offiziellen Landeplatz! Dieser befindet sich ca. 500m von der Talstation Söll entfernt, ca. 80m westlich vom untersten Parkplatz, und ist durch eine gut ersichtliche Windfahne markiert. Achtet beim Landen auf die nahegelegene Stromleitung (insbesondere bei starkem Talwind) und auf eventuellen Traktorenverkehr.
