Der niedrig gelegene Startplatz Planfait bietet meist schon ab dem späten Vormittag verlässliche Aufwinde. Während die Piloten am Col de Forclac noch mit der schwachen Thermik kämpfen, sprudeln am Planfait bereits die Aufwindblasen. Auch kann hier hervorragend gesoart werden. Am Nachmittag sind Starts meistens nicht mehr möglich, da der meist sehr starke Talwind auch die unteren Hangbereiche erreicht.
